MoDOT has a proposed plan to remove all access points along Highway 60 from the 60/65 interchange to Highway J. This project will have a negative impact on Springfield’s future growth, accessibility, and key institutions.

We support safety improvements but believe they must be balanced with economic and community needs.
Adding an approved entrance/exit at Highland Springs or Farm Road 189—would enhance safety without crippling growth or violating existing agreements.
