The Faith That Got You Here

What happens when the people that are supposed to encourage you…don’t? The faith that got you where you are is the same faith you’ll need to keep you from quitting. At times, life will cause you to stumble, stagger, and even question if you are on the right path. So how do you stand firm when everything feels shaky?

  1. Be Real with Yourself. In a world that often encourages a perfect image, genuine faith starts with embracing vulnerability and authenticity. Stop and take a heart check. Reflect on your true self—your strengths, weaknesses, fears, and plans. Be real about the gaps between who you are and who God calls you to be. This transparency before God will be the foundation for authentic growth.
  2. Go Beyond What You “Feel”. Faith is not a fleeting emotion but a purposeful commitment. Fuel your faith with a clear understanding of your purpose. Connect with God's promises and align them with your life's mission. Make faithfulness a conscious decision, irrespective of emotions or circumstances. Remember, it's not about the size of your faith, but the unwavering commitment to the purpose it serves.
  3. Push Past Adversity. Life is absolutely going to throw challenges your way. Instead of being paralyzed by fear, learn to stare down the face of adversity. Acknowledge the hurdles but hold fast to the promises of God. Decide to move forward with confidence, knowing that genuine faith isn't the absence of challenges but the audacity to trust that God's promises are greater than any obstacle.

As you grow, don’t stray away from vulnerability. Let your shortcomings fuel your faith as you build the confidence to navigate the challenges in front of you.
